The latest and sadly the very last SEUCK compo run by TND. There were a
fewer entries compared to last year, but we were all treated to some
fun treats. TND entered the competition with a quality shoot 'em up
with the under water shooter, "Rayfish". Also there were some other fun
game creations that were submitted. However the game that stood out in
front of the crowd was Alf Yngve's superior "Droid Rumble", a mean
robot smashing game.
The second but last of the SEUCK compos. It featured a variety of
different SEUCK games. TND also joined in the fun, submitting
"Guillotine - The Doom Machine", a fast-faced horizontal scrolling
blaster with some nice graphics in places. There was also the awesome
horizontal scrolling blaster from Alf Yngve called "Spearhead", but the
winner of this year's competition was once again Eleanor Burns with the
incredible "Synthia and the Cyber Crypt".
This official C64 SEUCK Compo had quite a lot of competition. TND also
joined in the fun and submitted a funny sequel of "Squibblies 3", a
series finale of the funny cartoon game with toilet humour. There was
also a nice cartoon game called "Dream Land" by Gaetano Chiummo, but
the winner was the ninjitsu, "Pagoda Warrior" by Stefano Canali. A
brilliant take on the classic arcade games of the good old days of
gaming. This competition by far was the best. Will there be any better
competitions? We'll have to wait and see!
Last year's competition was the Spanish SEUCK Compo Y'Olé, which was
run by Errazking. TND participated in the competition with Delta Run,
and made it 4th place and as an exciting bonus "Space Crumpets". The
winner of the competition was "Valkyrie 2" by Eleanor Burns. The 2018
SEUCK Competition was launched and has been successful once again with
"Valkyrie 3 - The Night Witch" being the winner of the competition.
T.N.D also entered the competition for a laugh with "The Last Hugger"
and "CET|I 21", which did quite well, but did not quite make it to the
top 3.
Yet another exciting new format was put in place for this competition.
The competition supported both standard and sideways scrolling versions
of SEUCK, but the new format was themed. The themes were "Futuristic"
and "Fantasy". The winner of the competition was Eleanor Burns with the
fantasy SEUCK role play game, "Night of the Valkyrie". A game which
started the Valkyrie series.
During the Autumn, a small sideways SEUCK competition was launched.
Sadly it was the least successful of all competitions and resulted with
only three entries. It did not stop the quality however. There was
"Eidotha" a game which you tried to cure a princess from a deadly
virus. Also there was "Double or Nothing 2: Edge of Time". The winner
of the competition was a Spanish arcade punch 'em up called "Retro Reto
Pan" by Errazking
A fun competition with yet more quality (and standard) SEUCK games.
Entrants battled it out to see which one came up top. There could only
be one winner. There was a new exciting format to the competition. Back
to Basics, and Mod Squad. There were two winners in total for this
competition. There were some real nice entries. Sub Hunter, meets SEUCK
with "The Hunter". Also tank blasting UFOs with "TUFO" but there were
two winners this time. Back to Basics went to "Abyssonaut" by Ant
Stiller. Also for the Mod Squad enhancements winner was "GIGA Blast" by
Alf Yngve.
Yet another successful annual competition, which supported the standard
and sideways scrolling SEUCK. Fly a drone through dangerous territory,
then venture through a high security base, in "NOXUS", save your camp
from an onslaught of evil zombies with "Another Day another Zombie", or
travel back in time and take off to the skies with "1944". There were
some quality entries, but the real winner was "Double or Nothing" by
Alf Yngve.
There was no official C64 SEUCK Compo in 2012, due to even less time
that was available that year. However in 2013, the competition made a
comeback, but this time, supporting all versions of SEUCK. Including
Sideways SEUCK. We had a variety of entries, and there were some really
good ones. There was medieval strategy fun with "Realms of Midgard", a
fun and cute cartoon dodge 'em up called "Dodo's Deep Doo Doo" - which
made second place in the competition. The winner of the competition was
Gaetano Chiummo's "Sheer Earth Attack".
A fun competition in which supports Jon Well's adaptation of the Shoot
'Em Up Construction Kit. This was quite a successful competition, which
participants develop a new game using the tool and submit to the
competition. The winner's game received a SEUCK Redux full works
enhancement as a prize - also digitally downloadable. There were some
fun, and novelty entries, including Action Def, also funny antics where
you had to "Escape from the Annoying Chavs", but the winner of the
competition was the most spooky "Forgotten Forest" by Alf Yngve.
There was a Sideways Scrolling SEUCK competition, but this time
there
is the Official C64 SEUCK Compo 2011 for standard SEUCK users. It was a
mini competition that was organized in the Autumn. The winner's entry
gets enhancements, as usual as a prize. The quality did not stop. We
saw a few great entries, including a nice 1942 inspired shoot 'em up
called "Stormbird", C'Notte D'Knight, and also Barakon, but The winner
of the competition was "The Mage" by Gaetano Chiummo.
A
fun competition in which supports Sideways scrolling adaptation of the
Shoot Em Up Construction Kit. Competitors take on each other submitting
games made with the SEUCK. The best game wins full game enhancements,
including a front end, title and in game music, and possibly power ups.
There were some really nice entries, like Sylphwyrm, and also Rocket
Man (Not to be mistaken by the film or song). The winner of this
competition was "Pour Le Merite", a Blue Max inspired game by Bamse.
